The Evidence-Based Drug Therapy Update is a two-day continuing education conference presented by the Medical University of South Carolina for pharmacists, physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinicians working in primary care. New drugs, revised guidelines, and shifting evidence arrive faster than most practices can absorb them. This program is built to close that gap. Faculty from MUSC and partner institutions review the past year's most practice-relevant developments in drug therapy, with an emphasis on what the evidence supports, where it is thin, and how to apply it to the patients in front of you. Each presentation is developed around a documented practice gap and measurable learning objectives, and presenters are asked to translate the evidence into concrete recommendations rather than summarize the literature. Time is reserved for questions and discussion with faculty. Participants will leave able to evaluate the strength of new therapeutic evidence, revise their prescribing and monitoring practices where the evidence warrants, and counsel patients on newly available agents. Continuing education credit is available for all participants.

1. Apply current guideline recommendations to the selection, dosing, and monitoring of drug therapy for commonly encountered chronic conditions
2. Evaluate the efficacy, safety, and regulatory status of newly available and emerging therapies
3. Appraise the reliability of drug information sources before applying them to patient care decisions
4. Formulate patient specific pharmacotherapy recommendations that account for comorbidities, cost, access, and patient preference
5. Counsel patients and colleagues on changes in the drug therapy

A refund will be made upon written request prior to one month prior to the start of the conference less a $100 cancellation fee. After this date, no refunds will be made. we reserve the right to cancel the program if necessary. Full registration fees will be refunded for cancelled programs.
